Thoroughbred Park sits on a site of 21 hectares and potential exists to reimagine use of available space. Under the proposed masterplan, currently underutilised areas, around 40 per cent of the Thoroughbred Park precinct, will be redeveloped to provide new accommodation choices and support our ongoing sporting and community activities.

There will be no impact from this development on existing Thoroughbred Park facilities or activities. It will actually assist local businesses who rely on our operations by helping ensure Thoroughbred Park’s long-term sustainability.

Under the current masterplan, we envision the Thoroughbred Park precinct consisting of its existing facilities and enhanced through development of residential housing, retirement living, visitor accommodation and commercial tenancies. Thoroughbred Park would be a mixed-use precinct.

We are currently in the very early days. At this stage we are presenting the masterplan to the community to get their views before the project progresses any further.
